Guest Experience Coordinator


Job Description:


A Guest Experience Coordinator acts as brand ambassador for the shopping centre. They will seek opportunities to create memorable customer interactions, provide excellent service and foster an internal culture to support this mandate. A Guest Experience Coordinator will help to bring to life the Deerfoot City experience through guest services, marketing and tenant support related responsibilities.

To succeed in the role, the candidate must be self-motivated, ambitious, organized, have strong time management skills and show initiative. We are looking for an energetic candidate who can multi-task, communicate effectively and mind the details. We strive to create a collaborative culture where each team member is encouraged to innovate and contribute to processes, discussions, planning and think outside the box.

Reporting to the Creative Services Coordinator, the successful candidate will fill the position of Guest Experience Coordinator


Guest Services

  • Proactively seeks to create memorable Guest Experiences
  • First point of contact answering phones and responding to text messages on Guest Services mobile phone
  • Manage Guest Services Kiosk during peak periods
  • Continuously looking for new ways of delivering 5-star guest experience such as surprise & delight
  • Works collaboratively with property teams such as Operations, Marketing, Security & Maintenance
  • Helps to provide leadership and direction to seasonal Guest Services Hosts

Marketing & Community Engagement

  • Supports the production of Centre events & programming by planning, hosting, set up and take down
  • Manages bookings and Food Lodge displays
  • Executes research initiatives
  • Coordination of community-driven initiatives such as the Shape Outreach Program with Calgary Food Bank

Administration & Tenant Support

  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all promotional and marketing initiatives and informs tenants
  • Responsible for mystery shop programs
  • Assist Deerfoot City administration office with support tasks

  • Must bring energy to the team and guest environments
  • Excellent communication and proven presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
  • Aptitude to embrace change and welcome new approaches in an exceedingly evolving and fast paced environment
  • Excellent follow through and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task, be proactive and resourceful
  • Minimum two years industry related experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work weekends, evenings and holidays as needed
  • Adobe skills are an asset
  • Tourism experience is an asset
